This policy explains what personal information Bits, Bytes & Beyond collects through bitsbytesandbeyond.com, why, and what rights you have. We collect as little as we can and never sell your information.
Who we are
Bits, Bytes & Beyond is based in Roseau, Commonwealth of Dominica. We are the controller of the personal information described here. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].

- your website or social media profile (optional)
- the service you are interested in

When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.
We do not collect payment details, special categories of data (such as health information), or information about children through this website. Please don't include sensitive information in your message.
How and why we use it
| Purpose | Information | Lawful basis (UK/EU GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Replying to your enquiry and discussing a possible project | Contact form details | Steps taken at your request before entering into a contract; our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries |
| Keeping a record of enquiries and clients in our CRM | Contact form details, and later project correspondence | Legitimate interests; contract, if you become a client |
| Protecting the contact form from spam and abuse | IP address and browser signals checked by Cloudflare Turnstile | Legitimate interest in keeping the site secure |
| Understanding how many people visit which pages | Anonymous, aggregated visit counts | Legitimate interest in improving the site |
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, we do not put it into AI tools, and we will not add you to any mailing list without your separate consent.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of trusted service providers, who process information only on our instructions under data processing agreements:
| Provider | What they do | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Zoho Corporation | Email, customer records (CRM), and delivering contact form messages to our inbox (ZeptoMail) | United States data centre |
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Website hosting, security, spam protection (Turnstile) and cookieless visit statistics | Global network; headquartered in the United States |
We share information with others only if the law requires it.
International transfers
Our providers process information in the United States and other countries. Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on the safeguards in each provider's data processing terms, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified.
How long we keep it
- The email that delivers your enquiry is deleted from our inbox once we have recorded the enquiry in our CRM, normally within one business day. Our email delivery service, ZeptoMail, keeps a delivery log (including the message subject, which contains your name) for 60 days and then deletes it; it does not store the message content.
- Enquiries that don't lead to a project are deleted from our CRM 24 months after our last contact.
- Client records are kept for the length of the engagement and then for 7 years, to meet business and tax record-keeping obligations.
How we protect it
We limit access to your information to ourselves, use two-factor authentication on every account that holds it, encrypt connections to the website, and use reputable providers with strong security practices.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you
- correct inaccurate information
- have your information deleted
- restrict or object to how we use it
- receive your information in a portable format
- complain to a data protection authority, such as the one in the country where you live or work
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month and may ask you to confirm your identity first. There is no charge.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the website.
